LANDMARKS: Hugh MacDiarmid, The Brownsbank Years

In the winter of January 1951, Brownsbank Cottage became the residence of Christopher Murray Grieve, who was known as Hugh MacDiarmid, after he started using that name for much of his published work in 1922.
